After the heavy rains we had last month, I noticed a strange moldy odor coming from the kitchen. The AC unit in my apartment has always been pretty old, but it seemed to get even more sluggish this week despite regular cleaning. My kids have been coughing and sneezing a lot lately, and I suspect it might be related to the air quality inside. Should I consider having the ducts cleaned professionally to prevent these issues from recurring?
