After the rain last month, I noticed a persistent damp smell coming from the hallway near the HVAC unit, which is located in the living room. My landlord hasn't mentioned anything about duct cleaning since we moved in two years ago, but given the musty odor and my kids' frequent coughing, I'm wondering if it might be related to the condition of the air ducts. Should I bring this up with my landlord or handle it myself?
