Could dusty air conditioning cause my symptoms?« Back to Previous Page

After the heavy dust storm we had last month, I’ve been noticing a persistent cough and sneeze attack every time my air conditioning turns on. The smell in my living room has also become quite strong and unpleasant, especially noticeable when I first come home from being outside. Has anyone else experienced similar issues or should I consider having the ducts cleaned?

Absolutely, dusty air conditioning could be the root of your discomfort. In dubai and the uae, we often experience severe dust storms that can send a lot of particulate matter into the atmosphere. When these conditions are followed by an increase in indoor use of air conditioning units, it's not uncommon for all this airborne debris to get sucked into your system.

In your case, given the recent dust storm and the symptoms you're experiencing - persistent coughing and sneezing attacks when you turn on your AC, along with a strong unpleasant smell - there is indeed a high probability that your air conditioning ducts are in need of cleaning. This can be quite common especially if your units were not properly maintained before the storm.

The dust and other particles can accumulate over time within the ductwork, leading to issues such as poor air quality, allergens, bacteria growth, and unpleasant odors. It's also a good idea to check for any visible signs of mold or moisture which can exacerbate respiratory problems.

For those in dubai, i would strongly recommend having your ducts professionally inspected and cleaned by a certified company like ours here at saniservice.com. Our services adhere to local uae standards and regulations ensuring the highest level of hygiene and safety. We use advanced cleaning techniques and equipment tailored for the specific challenges faced in our region.

By taking this step, you can expect improved air quality, reduced allergens, and a healthier indoor environment overall. Don't delay as waiting could potentially lead to more severe health issues or damage to your AC units.

If you decide to proceed, feel free to give us a call at 800-MOLDS (800-66537) or email hello@saniservice.com for more information and scheduling. Remember, clean air is essential for good health!
