Is AC noise related to dust storm damage?« Back to Previous Page

After the heavy dust storm we had last week, I noticed a lot of dirt and debris accumulating on our furniture. The AC in my two-bedroom apartment has been running louder than usual too. Given how often we use the air conditioning here in Dubai, should this be an urgent issue, or can it wait until next month?

Absolutely, the AC noise could be linked to the recent dust storm. In dubai and uae, we often see a surge of dust particles during storms which can easily get into the ventilation system and build up over time. This buildup can indeed affect your unit's performance leading to louder operation.

In my experience, it’s not uncommon for folks in dubai to notice an increase in noise after such weather events. The dust and debris accumulating inside the ductwork could be causing a blockage or disrupting airflow which might explain both the increased volume from your AC and also why you've seen more dirt on your furniture.

Given how critical air conditioning is in our climate, it’s definitely something to address soon rather than waiting until next month. Regular cleaning of your air conditioning system can not only reduce noise but also improve its efficiency, making sure that the air circulating through your apartment is cleaner and cooler.

I'd recommend getting a professional inspection done as soon as possible. Here at Saniservice, we specialize in indoor environmental quality assessments and can help clean those pesky ducts to ensure they're running smoothly again. You can give us a call at 800-MOLDS or email hello@saniservice.com for more information on scheduling an appointment.

Remember, while the AC noise might be due to dust from the storm, it's also worth checking if there are any other issues that might have cropped up during the event. Regular maintenance can help prevent such problems and ensure your system runs at peak efficiency throughout the year.

Take care of those noisy units before they start making your life more uncomfortable!
