Absolutely understand your concern. Finding signs of ducts behind furniture can indeed be worrisome, especially considering the climate and environment in Dubai. But first, let me assure you that it’s quite common to find air ducts in villa constructions as they are crucial for maintaining indoor environmental quality.

In the UAE, particularly in Dubai, regulations around HVAC systems and their maintenance are stringent to ensure occupant comfort and health. However, just because you've found signs of ducts doesn't necessarily mean there's a problem. These could be remnants from construction or even decorative features designed to blend with your furniture.

That being said, it’s prudent to have a professional inspection if you’re unsure about their purpose or condition. Sometimes, air ducts can become clogged or develop issues that might affect indoor air quality (IAQ). In Dubai, IAQ is critical given the high temperatures and humidity levels during summer months. If there are any signs of mold, dust accumulation, or other contaminants in your ductwork, it could pose health risks.

If you do decide to proceed with an inspection, I would highly recommend contacting a certified service provider like Saniservice. They can assess the condition of your ducts and ensure they’re properly sealed and clean. If any issues are found, they will provide remediation solutions that comply with local regulations.

Now, if you do find that there’s an issue with your ductwork, it might be necessary to move out temporarily while treatment is carried out. But before taking such a drastic step, try to understand the extent of the problem first through professional analysis.

Remember, maintaining good indoor environmental quality in your villa is key to a healthy living space, especially given our climate. So, don’t hesitate to reach out if you need help with inspections or treatments. Call 800-MOLDS or email hello@saniservice.com for assistance.

Hope this helps and please take care of your health!
