Why won't the damp smell under the sink go away?« Back to Previous Page

After the rain last month, I noticed a persistent damp smell coming from under the sink in the basement. Despite cleaning the area thoroughly with bleach and vinegar, the smell seems to linger and even gets worse when the AC runs. The area has been dry for days now, but the musty odor just won’t go away. Has anyone had similar issues and what did you do to prevent it from recurring?
