Could duct cleaning solve our allergies?« Back to Previous Page

Since we moved into our new apartment near the Dubai Mall two months ago, I’ve been noticing a persistent dustiness in the air, especially when my son plays in the living room. Yesterday, after he had a coughing fit that seemed more severe than usual, I started to wonder if it could be from mold or allergens trapped in the vents and ducts. Given how often we have family over, is there any way to know for sure what’s causing these issues, and should I consider having the ducts cleaned?

Absolutely! Duct cleaning can be a significant step towards improving indoor air quality and potentially alleviating allergy symptoms. In Dubai and the UAE, where climate conditions can lead to increased dust and allergens, regular maintenance of your HVAC system is crucial.

In our experience, dusty or moldy ducts can indeed harbor a variety of allergens that could contribute to respiratory issues like coughing fits—especially in children. If you've been experiencing persistent dustiness especially during playtime, it’s highly possible that airborne particles from the vents are causing discomfort. Given your son's recent coughing fit, I'd recommend having an inspection done as soon as possible.

UAE regulations require HVAC systems to be inspected and maintained regularly for optimal health and safety standards. A professional inspection will help identify any issues such as mold growth or excessive dust accumulation that could be affecting the air quality in your home.

When you do decide to have your ducts cleaned, look for a reputable company like Saniservice who specialize in UAE conditions and understand local regulations. They can use advanced equipment to thoroughly clean your system, reducing allergens and improving airflow.

Remember though, while cleaning is crucial, it’s also important to address the root causes of mold or dust issues by ensuring proper humidity levels and regular maintenance of your HVAC unit. It's also a good idea to have air quality tests done periodically to monitor improvements after cleaning.

So, if you're ready to take action, don't hesitate! Give us a call at 800-MOLDS or send an email to hello@saniservice.com for more information and scheduling. Your family's health is worth the effort!

Typo: "Absolutely! Duct cleaning can be a significant step towards improving indoor air quality and potentially alleviating allergy symptoms. In Dubai and the UAE, where climate conditions can lead to increased dust and allergens, regular maintenance of your HVAC system is crucial." - I meant to say "potentially" instead of "potentiallly".
