Could dusty smell be from duct issues?« Back to Previous Page

After the heavy dust storm last month, I noticed a persistent dusty smell lingering in my living room. It’s so strange because we haven’t had anyone over and I don’t see any obvious sources of dust. The AC filters were clean when I checked them recently too. Have you guys ever experienced something similar or should I consider having the ducts cleaned?

Absolutely could be! In dubai and the uae, it's quite common to experience lingering dusty smells even after cleaning the visible areas. The culprit might indeed lie within your ductwork.

In the emirates, especially during such dusty storms, dust can easily infiltrate through tiny gaps or cracks in the system over time, leading to a persistent odor that isn’t immediately noticeable but lingers in certain rooms like yours - the living room.

UAE building codes and standards for air quality are stringent, aiming to ensure comfort and health for residents. However, even with these regulations, ducts can still accumulate dust and other particulates over time due to their hidden nature.

Given your situation, it might be wise to have a professional inspection done. Our team at Saniservice has seen similar cases where the source of the issue was not immediately apparent. A thorough inspection can identify any blockages or issues within the ductwork that may need cleaning.

We recommend calling us on 800-MOLDS (800-66537) to schedule an appointment, or you can also email hello@saniservice.com with your concerns and we'll get back to you promptly. Remember, regular maintenance of your HVAC system is key in keeping the air quality optimal for a healthy living environment.

Taking care of these issues early on helps prevent more serious problems down the road, including potential mold growth or worse, compromised indoor air quality that could affect your family's health. Don't let this dusty smell linger – act now and breathe easy!
