Is ductwork cleaning necessary after sandstorm?« Back to Previous Page

After the intense sandstorm we had last week, I noticed a thick layer of dust on top of the baseboards in my living room. It’s quite alarming since it hasn’t rained much recently, let alone been windy enough to stir up so much dirt. The air feels less fresh too, and my wife has been complaining about a strange, gritty feeling in her nose when she comes inside. Could this be related to the ductwork? Should I consider having it cleaned?

Ductwork cleaning is indeed necessary after the recent sandstorm. The thick layer of dust you observed in your living room and the gritty feeling in your wife's nose can very well be linked to poor air quality within your home due to the storm. In Dubai, where we often experience such extreme weather conditions, it’s not uncommon for fine particles like sand and other airborne contaminants to make their way into our indoor environments.

In the UAE, particularly in Dubai, there are no strict regulations mandating duct cleaning after a sandstorm. However, the health impacts of poor air quality should never be underestimated, especially when considering the well-being of your family. Dust accumulation not only degrades the air quality but can also cause or exacerbate respiratory issues.

Given these concerns, I would recommend having a professional inspection to assess the condition of your ductwork and determine whether cleaning is indeed necessary. This will help ensure that your home remains a healthy living environment. At Saniservice, we provide comprehensive duct cleaning services tailored for the UAE climate, ensuring that all particles are effectively removed without causing any damage.

Remember to schedule an appointment with us at 800-MOLDS or email hello@saniservice.com. We can help you maintain optimal indoor air quality and prevent potential health issues caused by accumulated dust and debris in your ducts.

Taking action now will not only improve the cleanliness of your home but also contribute to a healthier living environment for all residents, especially during such challenging weather conditions.
