Is indoor air behind furniture dangerous?« Back to Previous Page

We've been in our Dubai villa for about a year now and I just discovered what looks like indoor air behind some furniture. Is this dangerous and do I need to move out during treatment?

Indoor air behind furniture can indeed be a concern. Especially in the UAE, where environmental conditions can vary significantly between seasons and indoor spaces might not always have adequate ventilation, pollutants like dust mites, mold spores, pet dander, or even volatile organic compounds (VOCs) from materials used in furniture could accumulate. These factors can contribute to poor air quality which may lead to health issues such as allergies, asthma attacks, or other respiratory problems.

In Dubai and the UAE, there are no specific regulations mandating inspections for indoor air behind furniture. However, it's wise to be proactive about your family’s well-being. If you suspect that the air quality in an enclosed space is less than ideal, consider contacting a professional environmental inspection company like Saniservice who can provide thorough assessments and recommendations.

Remember, if you notice any unusual odors or symptoms such as sneezing, coughing, or headaches after spending time in your villa, it might be prudent to have the indoor environment checked. Early detection often leads to more effective solutions.

Call 800-MOLDS (or 800-66537) or email hello@saniservice.com for a consultation and inspection. They can help you understand what's in your air, suggest remediation strategies if needed, and provide guidance on improving overall indoor air quality.

If the situation is urgent or severe, professional intervention might be necessary to ensure that any issues are addressed swiftly. Always prioritize health over discomfort - it’s better to act now than later when potential problems could worsen.
