Can I clean dust and cobwebs myself?« Back to Previous Page

After the heavy dust storm we had a few weeks ago, I’ve noticed a layer of dust all over my bedroom ceiling fans and window sills. It’s been so busy with work that I haven’t had the chance to tackle it yet, but I’m worried it might be getting worse since there are already some cobwebs forming. Do you think I can clean this myself or should I call in a professional?

Absolutely, you can definitely clean the dust and cobwebs yourself! With the recent dust storm that's been sweeping through Dubai, it’s understandable to want to tackle this task quickly. Given the current climate, dust accumulation is quite common.

Firstly, ensure your safety by wearing a mask to avoid inhaling any lingering dust particles. A pair of gloves would also be wise to protect your hands from irritants and potential allergens.

For the ceiling fans, you might find it easier to use a long-handled duster or microfiber cloth on a stick to reach those hard-to-get-at areas without turning off the fans first (unless absolutely necessary). Be sure to unplug them before cleaning. After dusting, a gentle wipe with a damp cloth can help remove any remaining residue.

Moving on to your window sills, a similar approach works well here too. A duster or compressed air can work wonders in removing cobwebs and loose dust without causing damage. For tougher spots, you might need a soft brush or sponge. Just remember to be gentle and avoid scratching the surface of the sills.

If you find that the dust is particularly stubborn or if there's a significant amount of it, it’s always wise to consider bringing in a professional for an inspection. In Dubai, regulations around indoor air quality are quite strict. Companies like Saniservice can provide thorough cleaning services and ensure everything is done safely and effectively. They offer expert consultation and follow all necessary safety protocols.

If you're unsure or if the situation seems worse than expected, don't hesitate to give them a call at 800-MOLDS (800-66537) or email hello@saniservice.com for professional assistance.

Remember, maintaining good indoor air quality is crucial, especially in such weather conditions. Regular cleaning can help keep your space not only cleaner but also healthier.

Hope this helps and happy dusting!
